    Finding the Right Hospice: All Are Not Created Equal

    The hospice movement was founded upon altruistic ideals. Most hospices have used those ideals as a foundation and continue to honor them. However, growth in what some call the "industry" of elder care has spawned some less than desirable agencies, including hospices. Hospices should be checked with the same vigilance as other elder care providers.

    Hospice Care As Seen by a Grateful Daughter

    The decision to place a loved one on hospice care is very difficult because we must first overcome the denial of impending death. Both of my parents had hospice care. That's when I learned first hand that no one should have to die in pain. Overcoming denial was a small price to pay for this result.
